A sanctuary for embodied healing and sacred connection
Root & Ritual is a holistic wellness space that bridges the gap between traditional therapy and
body-based healing.
Sometimes Talk-Therapy isn’t enough, and that’s okay!
Root & Ritual offers trauma-informed bodywork and healing for those who seek a more embodied connection with themselves and others. We work not only with your mind, but also with your nervous system to guide you to safety, self-trust, and your own inner power.
Our work focuses on understanding how early childhood, family dynamics, relationships, and lived experiences shaped your nervous system so you can show up grounded, safe, and secure.
The spirit behind the work
Certified Psychosomatic Practitioner ♦ Trauma-informed Healer ♦ Therapist in-training
Hi, I’m Grace — I offer psychosomatic healing and guidance sessions where I help people connect with their bodies, heal from trauma, and root into what feels sacred.
My career path began on another road, where I studied biology, ecology, and conservation — which are still an important part of my life — and my goal was to become a field researcher. However, when chronic illness shifted that path, I found a deeper calling to bridge the mind, body, and spirit, and to walk with others on their path of healing and transformation.
Now, I help trauma survivors, highly sensitive people (HSP), and those with chronic conditions who are ready to find embodied ways to live, heal, and thrive. My work weaves together trauma-informed care, somatic nervous system support, and intuitive guidance, and nature’s wisdom.
Root & Ritual is more than a practice. It’s a space for community, connection, and a reminder that you’re not alone. Whether through 1:1 sessions or collective offerings, my hope is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow in your own way.
Healing begins at the roots and grows through ritual.
Somatic Healing & Psychosomatic Guidance
Why somatics works better than mindset alone?
We’ve all heard the mindset advice:
"Just think positive."
"Visualize your highest self."
And while mindset can be helpful, it’s not the whole story. Because trauma, grief, and long-term stress don’t just live in the mind, they live in the body. No amount of positive thinking can override a nervous system that’s stuck in survival mode.
That’s where somatics come in. Practices that include the body create a bridge between mind, body, and spirit. They honor that healing isn’t just intellectual, but also physical, emotional, and energetic, too.
Somatics helps you regulate your nervous system so real change is possible.
It teaches your body new felt experiences of safety, trust, and connection.
It rewires old patterns over time, not just your thoughts.
Who may benefit from somatic therapy?
Our bodies carry the stories of all we have experienced. Sometimes experiences that were overwhelming, stressful, or painful don't fully resolve and become stored in the nervous system. This can show up as tension, fatigue, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, difficulty relaxing, or a feeling of being disconnected from yourself.
Somatic healing sessions may be supportive if you are experiencing:
Persistent stress, anxiety, or nervous system dysregulation
A history of trauma and symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD)
Grief, loss, or major life transitions
Depression, numbness, or feeling disconnected from yourself
Challenges with intimacy, vulnerability, or emotional connection
Low self-esteem, self-criticism, or feelings of not being "enough"
Trouble sleeping, resting, or feeling safe in your body
Difficulty focusing, concentrating, or staying present
A desire to deepen your relationship with yourself and your body's wisdom
Rather than focusing solely on thoughts or behaviors, somatic healing explores the connection between the body, emotions, and nervous system. Through mindful awareness, movement, breath, and body-based practices, these sessions help create greater capacity for safety, resilience, and connection.
You don't need to have experienced a major traumatic event to benefit from this work. Many people seek somatic support simply because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or ready to cultivate a deeper sense of ease and embodiment in their daily lives.
What does it mean to root into your somatic practice?
Rooting into your somatic practice means it lives in your body and your daily life, not just your mind.
It’s the difference between knowing about yourself and being in relationship with your body.
When you root into your practice:
You feel your connection to your body and the world around you.
Your practice anchors you when life becomes chaotic or painful.
Your life becomes an embodied experience, not a checklist or performance. “Fake it till you make it” is real, but embodiment turns “faking it” into a seamless daily experience and practice
You move at the pace of your body, not at the pace of the mind.
Rooting is about depth, not height.
It’s about growing down first — into your sensations, emotions, and the cycles of the natural world — so that what grows up (your power, your voice, your life) is strong and stable.
